Lightning Crashes, Beat Flyers 4-1

(It's 6:30 in the morning and we've already been awake for almost two hours. We apologize in advance if we're not in the greatest of moods today.) The Flyers stretched their losing streak to four games last night, looking terrible yet again in a loss to Tampa Bay (who have, by the way, won nine straight against the Flyers). Of the three new additions to the team -- Ben Eager, Alexandre Picard, and Stefan Ruzicka -- Picard and Ruzicka looked solid and appear to be ready to contribute at the NHL level. Eager showed me nothing. 4:22 of ice time, -1, 17 penalty minutes (all from one fight he had after Tampa scored to go up 3-0). What a waste. Another brilliant personnel move by Clarke, et al. Adding injury to insult, as it were, Peter Forsberg left last night's game with a sprained wrist and will not play in tonight's game. Thankfully -- for him and for those of us watching -- after tonight the Flyers won't play again until next Thursday at home against Atlanta.
